Kurram: A high fire agreement won strong Shot in the Bushehra area of the Remains District. on Friday.
According to the administration of the Police and the District, there was an incident of shot in the Bushehra area of Upper Kurram in which the locals Gul Ali Tori and Abbas Ali were injured. They were taken to the Parachinar hospital.
After the incident, a shot between the groups at war broke out in the area. Later, the assistant commissioner (income) Saeed Manan, together with the police and administration staff, reached the area and measured the fire.
While the security personnel were deployed, AC Manan was shot, leaving him injured. He was urgently taken to the Hospital of the District headquarters in Parachinar.
The medical superintendent of the DHQ Hospital, Dr. Syed Mir Hassan Jan, said the AC underwent surgery and was out of danger. They shot him in his stomach and then transferred to Peshawar through the helicopter.
At the beginning of November last year, an attack on a convoy in Lower Kurram’s Bagan area killed more than 40 people. At least 130 more lives were claimed in later confrontations. The volatile security situation led to the closing of a main road for weeks, which resulted in a shortage of essential goods and medications in the parachute of Alto Kurram.
While a high fire agreement between the tribes at war was signed on January 1, attacks against the government and help convoys this month have put in danger.
On January 4, an attack in the Bagan area injured the attached commissioner Javedullah Mehsud and another six. In a January 16 attack against a convoy in the same area, two security officials were martyred and another five injured. The retaliation action for security forces left six dead attackers and 10 injured.
In response, the authorities launched an “limited anti -terrorism operation” in Lower Kurram on January 19, which used guning helicopters and concluded after four days.
‘Conflict fed by hate’
Meanwhile, addressing a great jirga in the commissioner’s office in Kohat, Muhammad Ali Saif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa advisor in the main minister of information, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restore peace in Kurram, emphasizing that the conflict was not religious or sectarian, but driven by hatred for hatred. .
Saif urged all interested parties to recognize the devastating impact of violence, emphasizing that internal divisions, not external forces, were responsible for the loss of lives and properties. He said that war and hate lead only to destruction, while progress comes from unity.
“The real problem is not religious hate but personal. When we allow hate to consume us, we forget the teachings of Islam and the values of humanity, ”he added.
Contenting the recurring cycles of violence, Mr. Saif asked participants to reflect on past errors and commit to coexistence. He recognized the peace agreement provided by the Government, signed with the consensus of local leaders and interested parties, but expressed concern about the elements that try to interrupt peace efforts through erroneous information and violence.
“The government has acted as a facilitator and remains committed to implementing the agreement. However, lasting peace requires active participation and responsibility of people. Identifying and delivering criminals to the application of the law is crucial for stability, ”he said.
Regarding governance and security, he assured that the government is totally committed to guarantee regional security, citing the sacrifices made by the police, including the attached commissioner that was injured while working towards La Paz.
On the issue of compensation, Mr. SAIF confirmed the allocation of government aid funds, including financial assistance for victims and companies affected by the conflict. He announced that a dedicated aid package for Kurram is scheduled for approval, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to support the affected communities.
He reiterated the government’s position against those who challenge the state authority, warning that legal measures would be taken against the instigators of violence. “The Government will not allow anyone to sabote peace. Those who take the law in their hands will face consequences, ”he warned.
On the occasion, the main secretary of KP, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary, praised the elders and Jirga members for their efforts to maintain dialogue and work towards peace. He reaffirmed the full support of the government by implementing the peace agreement and addressing the concerns of the community.
Recognizing the suffering suffered by the people of Kurram, he said that the financial compensation for the victims was in process. He revealed that the provincial cabinet had assigned aid funds, including RS160 million for medical and RS120M help for commercial rehabilitation.
Highlighting the role of security forces and civil administration, he said that his sacrifices should not be overlooked. “Our officials, including the attached commissioner and police staff, have risked their lives to protect people.”
The Chief Secretary urged tribal elders to assume an active role in the application of the agreement and prevent criminals from derailing the peace process, adding that collective efforts were necessary to rebuild trust between communities.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to address the challenges of the region and urged all parties to implement the peace agreement sincerely and work together for lasting peace.
To Grand Jirga, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed, the Kohat division commissioner, senior government officials, tribal elders and community leaders attended. All reaffirmed their commitment to implement the peace agreement and restore stability in the region.
