Four FC personnel martyred, three injured in Quetta roadside blast – Pakistan

Four border police personnel were martyred and three others suffered wounds in an explosion near a security vehicle in the Quetta Margate area, police said on Friday.

Faced with the growing attacks of militants, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan, security forces have also intensified anti -terrorist operations.

The Hanna Urak station station officer, said Akhtar officer of Akhtar Dawn.com that the pump elimination squad from the security forces was attacked with an improvised explosive device in a Quetta suburb.

“As a result of the explosion, four FC staff were martyred and three others were injured,” he said.

The injured were immediately transferred to the combined military hospital (CMH).

The martyrdos included Shahzad Amin, Naib Subedar Abbas and Sepay Khalil and Sepoy Zahid.

Among the injured were Naik Zafar, Naik Farooq lines and Sepoy Khurram Salem.

The security forces have cordoned off the area and have begun a search operation for suspects.

Militant violence and security operations intensified in the country in March, with the number of militant attacks that exceed 100 for the first time since November 2014, according to a report by the Institute of Conflict Studies and Security of Pakistan (PICSS).

The group of experts reported 105 militant attacks during the month, which resulted in 228 deaths, including 73 security personnel, 67 civilians and 88 militants. In addition, 258 people were injured, comprising 129 security personnel and an equal number of civilians.

Pakistan took second place in the 2025 global terrorism index, with the number of deaths in terrorist attacks that increased by 45 percent during the past year to 1,081.

Interior Minister condemns Quetta Attack

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack in Quetta.

In an X publication, the Ministry of Interior said that the minister expressed “sympathies and condolences to the families of martyred soldiers of the FC”, and prayed for the recovery of injured personnel.

“The FC staff reached the great state of martyrdom,” said the publication. “We greet the sacrifice of the brave children of the FC.”

The minister also described the incident as an “atrocious conspiracy” by the enemy to “create instability in the country performing such cowardly acts.”

“The sacrifices of the FC soldiers for the establishment of peace in Baluchistan will always be remembered,” he added.
