London: A former soldier who murdered three women and raped one of them in a crossbow and a stabbing attack received a lifelong prison sentence in a United Kingdom court on Tuesday.
Kyle Clifford, 26, was imprisoned for life for each of the three “brutal and cowardly” murders of Carol Hunt, 61, the wife of a BBC sports Commentator and his two daughters Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28.
Judge Joel Bennathan issued the sentence in the absence of Clifford after he refused to attend the hearing at Cambridge Crown Court in eastern England. “The evidence I have heard shows that you are a jealous man soaked in self -pity, a man who keeps total contempt,” said Bennathan.
Clifford had declared himself guilty of three murder positions, one of false imprisonment and two of possessing offensive weapons. Last week she was convicted of raping Louise Hunt, her ex -girlfriend with which she was told to the court that she was “enraged” after she broke with him.
Clifford planned the attack of July 2024 against the three women in their home in Bushey, northwest London, for days, even by monitoring the movements of the horse commentator John Hunt.
It was told to the court that after Clifford stabbed Carol Hunt until death, “he left” for an hour for Louise, before linking it, raping her and killing her with a crossbow. Then he killed Hannah when she returned to Casa del Labor.
Before the sentence, John Hunt said he had wanted to deliver his impact statement of the victim “eye by eye with Kyle.” “When I challenged myself about how you could fool us all, I simply say that you are a psychopath who, during the duration of your time together with Louise, could disguise yourself as a common human being,” John Hunt told the court.
“I hope women around the world take Louise’s courage as a bright lighthouse for their lives,” he added.
