The former Jamaat-I-Islami Senator (JI) Mushtaq Ahmad Khan was shot dead in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s swab, a police officer said. Dawn.com Sunday.
The former senator confirmed on social networks on Saturday night that his older brother, Shakeel Ahmad Khan, was shot dead in front of his house by armed men not identified in the town of Ahad Khan in Swabi.
“He was brutally killed in front of his home in an innocent town,” Mushtaq wrote. “My brother was very dear to me, he was my greatest help. It is (his murder) is the greatest atrocity. “
A separate social networks publication said that funerary sentences had been offered for Shakeel in the same town.
Meanwhile, Swabi District Police officer (DPO) Muhammad Azhar said Dawn.com that the incident was not “an act of terrorism” and that two people were killed and a wound in the shooting.
According to the DPO, the incident began in the house of Shakeel’s neighbor, where his neighbor and his son had a dispute that became violent. “The suspect supposedly shot his father, on which Shakeel went out around the house and tried to intervene, but also shot him,” he said Dawn.com.
“The father of the suspect and Shakeel were killed in the incident, while another person was injured and took the Kalu Khan hospital on hand,” Azhar added.

The FIR was registered under sections 302 (punishment for murder) and 324 (punishment for murder attempt) of the Pakistan Criminal Code.
The DPO said the police are investigating the incident.
