Former HC judge Nirmal Yadav acquitted in 2008 cash-at-judge’s door case | India News


Chandigarh: A special CBI court here on Saturday acquitted to the former Superior Court of Punjab and Haryana Judge Justice (retired) Yadav Nirmal and four others in the Case of the 2008 door in cash. In the sensational case, a package containing 15 Lakh was erroneously delivered in the residence of Judge Nirmaljit KaurAnother judge of the Superior Court, on August 13, 2008. It was alleged that the cash was destined for Judge Nirmal Yadav as a bribe to influence a real estate agreement.
The Court of the Special Judge of CBI Alka Malik delivered the verdict on Saturday.
Defensor lawyer Vishal Garg said the court acquitted former Nirmal Judge Yadav and four others. There were a total of five defendants in the case, one of whom died during the trial.
The Court had heard on Thursday the final arguments in the case registered against Judge Yadav by the Central Office of Investigation and registered the pronouncement of the verdict for March 29.
