Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Wednesday that Saudi Arabia could be the “neutral” place for very necessary conversations between Pakistan and India on critical issues.
The prime minister also said that he had consulted the president of PML-N, Nawaz Sharif, in his decision to raise the head of the Army staff, Syed also Munir, to the Marshal of the Campo.
Speaking with a group of television presenters at the home of the Prime Minister, he said that Kashmir, water, commerce and terrorism will be the key points during dialogue with India.
In response to a question if there was a possibility of a third place for conversations in the light of mediation offered by the president of the United States, Donald Trump, the prime minister ruled out the possibility of China as a neutral place, saying that India would never agree with that.
However, a participant said SunriseThe prime minister expressed the hope that Saudi Arabia could be the third country where both parties could accept to celebrate the negotiations.
When it was pointed out that India intends to maintain dialogue on terrorism, while Pakistan wants to concentrate on Kashmir, the prime minister reiterated: “Kashmir, water, trade and terrorism will be the key points during Pakistan-India conversations.”
Regarding the appointment of the Munir of Coas as a field marshal, Prime Minister Shehbaz said: “It was my own decision to make the army chief a field marshal.”
Answering a question that Nawaz Sharif had always opposed to give an extension to the mandate of the Army Chief, Prime Minister Shehbaz said he took his older brother in confidence before making any decision and that COAS became a field marshal after consulting with the president of the ruling party.
“Always consult Nawaz Sharif before making any key decision and that also happened in case of [elevation of] Gen also mun, ”he added.
In response to a question that the KP government led by PTI must be supported by its efforts to eradicate terrorism, the prime minister said that the center was already helping the province in this regard, since more than RS600 billion had been released to the KP government under the public sector development program.
He said that the situation between Pakistan and India broke out after the DGMO of the two parties made contacts with each other.
He said that if conversations were held between the two archirrival, the national security advisor will lead the Pakistan side in the process.
Housing meeting
By chairing a meeting on low -cost housing, the prime minister said that affordable projects would not only make residential units accessible to the common man, but also increase the national economy and create jobs.
He said that the relevant working group, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Banks, should soon present recommendations to finance low -cost housing projects, which should be included in the next budget proposals.
He noted that the sustainable growth of the economy was closely related to the development of the construction sector.
Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Ahad Khan Chema, Muhammad Aurengzeb and Ali Pervaiz Malik, the president of FBR and other senior officials attended the meeting, said the prime minister’s office media wing in a press release.
The meeting was reported that the 2025 condominium law and the amendments to the Mortgage Execution Law were in their final stages and, after approval, it would be easier to obtain loans for the construction and ownership of housing under low -cost housing schemes.
The working group reported the meeting on progress in the initiation of construction projects, particularly low -cost housing schemes.
