Islamabad Police said Tuesday that they had arrested the main suspect in the case of murder of the influence of 17 -year -old social networks Yousaf, a day after they killed her at home.
A first information report (FIR) was presented last night at the Sumbal Police Station against an unidentified man on the complaint of Sana’s mother, Farzana Yousaf, invoking section 302 (intentional murder) of the Pakistan Criminal Code (PPC).
The teenager was known for her activities on social networks, with almost 800,000 followers in her Tiktok account and almost 500,000 on her Instagram account.
Going to a press conference, the Inspector General of Islamabad (IG) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that the culprit was a 22 -year -old man arrested by Faisalabad and described a case of “repeated rejections.”
“A cold blood murderer, is now in the grip of the law,” Ig Rizvi announced, adding that the man had tried to contact Sana repeatedly and was being “rejected by her again and again.”
The police chief said the culprit wanted to establish contact with the influencer of social networks and “become friends” with her.
IG Rizvi described the man how to have enrolled and from a lower average income family, with “without source of income.”
The IG stressed that the police made 11 raids, three in the Federal Capital and the rest in several Punjab cities, with multiple raids in the Faisalabad district.
He explained that the suspect had taken healthy phone in an attempt to eliminate evidence, but had recovered, along with the offense weapon.
Ig Rizvi said that the man had “done everything possible to contact” healthy on his birthday on May 29. “He arrived at his house and tried to meet her for seven to eight hours, but failed.”

The Islamabad police chief described the murder as a “very challenging case”, emphasizing that arrest the author in the “shortest possible time was necessary.”
“It was blind murder; there was no idea, things were not clear, and it was more tried to give it another angle, although the goal of taking the mobile was to eliminate the clues,” he said, listing the obstacles faced by the police.
IG Rizvi appreciated members of social, electronic and printed media, stating that “many potential clients” come from journalists, who “offered their services in the analysis of social networks.”
He also acclaimed seven police teams, as well as the officials of the Crime Investigation Agency, for their efforts.
Today early, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed the arrest in an X position.
“The incident occurred yesterday in Islamabad when a young woman was killed by a masked defendant,” said the minister, added that the suspect was arrested around 12 pm
Naqvi declared that the police have recovered the homicide weapon and the man’s gun, as well as the mobile phone used by the murdered girl. The suspect has confessed the murder, he added.

He added that two shots hit healthy in his chest, wounding her severely. The girl was taken to a hospital, but had succumbed to her wounds, added the FIR.
The mother described the suspect as having an “intelligent, moderate physical and height” appearance, and dressed in a black shirt and pants. She said she and her sister -in -law, Lateefa Shah, were eyewitnesses of the incident and could identify the suspect if they saw him in person.
Farzana explained that her 15 -year -old son was not present at home, since she had gone to her hometown in the high Chitral, while her sister -in -law visited them for a few days.
In January, a man who recently brought his family to Quetta from the United States confessed to shooting his 15 -year -old daughter, motivated by his disapproval of his Tiktok content, according to the police.
The same month, two men from Tiktoker died in separate incidents in Lahore after their guns accidentally fired in Lahore.
More than 54 million people use Tiktok in Pakistan, with the authorities blocking the application of video exchange several times in recent years about the content considered objectable.
The platform was prohibited four times only in 2021. It is currently accessible, with a strict moderation and complying with applications to eliminate some content.
