Earlier this month, the terrorists carried out a series of militant attacks throughout the district, killing three soldiers and a woman while injured three others, including two soldiers.

On August 13, the police said the terrorists exploded a gas pipe in the Lakki Marwat district, which resulted in a suspension of the gas supply to Punjab.
