Elon Musk to travel to Wisconsin ahead of critical state Supreme Court election

The billionaire of Technology and Advisor of the White House, Elon Musk, will go to Wisconsin days before the fundamental elections of the Supreme Court of the State there, in which millions of dollars have sunk in the name of the conservative candidate and become a central figure in the race.

Musk made the announcement on Friday morning on its social media platform X, where he said he would give a couple of $ 1 million checks to people who attend their speech, with the assistance limited to those who voted in the elections.

It is the last redoubling of Musk’s efforts in Wisconsin, where he has backed the conservative judge Brad Schimel, a judge of the Circuit Court and former state attorney general who is also supported by President Donald Trump. State campaign financing presentations show $ 3 million in Musk donations to the Wisconsin Republican Party so far this year, and the Super PAC of Musk, America PAC, is the best external speaker in the race of the Supreme Court. The group has spent more than $ 12 million so far, according to the latest data available through the State campaign financing portal on Friday morning.

America Pac has also offered Wisconsin $ 100 voters to sign a conservative request before the elections and has granted a petition signator $ 1 million, the last Grand Prize as part of Musk’s efforts to promote commitment to their political operations.

The strong public participation of Musk in Wisconsin has made him a main character in the battle for partisan control of the Supreme Court of the State, and aligns with the Republican efforts to motivate the base before the elections outside the year of Tuesday.

Trump joined Schimel in a telephone town hall on Thursday, Schimel’s campaign has launched ads emphasizing Trump’s support and attacking the Democratic candidate on transgender issues, and an external group that supports Schimel is issuing a new announcement that criticizes an unrelated judicial decision that blocks the deportation of Trump’s administration to argue that state needs need judges as Schimel in power.

Democrats have responded to Musk’s efforts trying to turn him into a bobado man. Most of the voters registered in Wisconsin see it unfavorably, according to a recent survey of the Law Faculty of the University of Marquette, similar to the national findings of the latest NBC News survey.

Liberal candidate Susan Crawford launched an advertisement this month that accuses Musk of “trying to buy a seat in the Supreme Court because she knows that Schimel always helps her great campaign donors.” Crawford and the State Democratic Party repeatedly mention Musk as a sheet in the campaign.

Musk was submerged for the first time in the race in January, supporting Schimel in a position in X. The position came days after his electric car company, Tesla, filed a demand in Wisconsin challenging a law that restricts car manufacturers of concessionaires, a case that could end before the State Supreme Court.

Musk’s Wisconsin Play Book reflects how he devoted himself to the presidential elections of 2024. His super PAC spent hundreds of millions of dollars to boost Trump, mainly in vote exit efforts, such as the top, direct mail and text messaging, as well as digital advertising, the same types of expenses as America PAC is incurring to boost Schimel.

America Pac also gave money to the signatories of a different petition, and launched a controversial raffle of $ 1 million to requesting for requests that was undertaken without success in the courts. Musk are also attacking swing’s states and spoke in the stump.

Musk has also been compromised, although to a significantly lower degree, in another career that will be held on Tuesday: the special elections in Florida to replace the former Republican representative Michael Waltz, who was used as Trump National Security Advisor. America PAC has spent about $ 76,000 on independent expenses there, according to federal campaign financing data.
