Elon Musk is among the keynote speakers who will precede President-elect Donald Trump at his pre-inauguration rally in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, according to a source familiar with the planning.
Musk, the world’s richest man, spent more than $250 million on last year’s campaign. Shortly after his victory in November, Trump tapped Musk to co-chair an outside advisory committee called the “Department of Government Efficiency” or “DOGE,” which aims to slash government spending, regulations and the federal workforce.
Others who will speak before Trump’s speech at Capitol One Arena include Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White, who was recently named to Facebook’s board of directors, Vice President-elect JD Vance, retired professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, conservative media personality Megyn Kelly and Trump’s top adviser Stephen Miller.
Members of Trump’s immediate family will also speak at the rally. There will be performances by Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus and The Village People, the creators of “YMCA,” Trump’s rally anthem. Puerto Rican musical artist Anuel AA will also attend the rally, but will speak instead of perform.
A Trump transition spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News. The rally program is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, according to a registration page on Trump’s inauguration website.
Musk and other tech executives are expected to sit on the dais at the inauguration with Cabinet picks, elected officials and other notable guests.
