During a visit to the White House, the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, said he does not have the power to return to Kilmar Abrego García to the United States. Garcia is the father of three children who had been living in Maryland and was recently deported to El Salvador. The Department of Justice has said that it was due to an “administrative error.” Gabe Gutiérrez de NBC News informs that the White House now says he was not deported by mistake.
