It was the first time that Bell publicly addressed his accusations of child sexual abuse against Nick’s dialogue coach Brian Peck (unrelated to Josh Peck), who was arrested in 2003 and accused of “lascivious acts with a child,” according to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department. The statement said Brian Peck had abused an unidentified minor with whom he had worked for a period of six months.

Brian Peck was “walking on the set” during the filming of the program pilot as the investigation occurred, Bell said in the podcast episode.
“Where I felt more comfortable, where I was the happiest, it was when I was on the set with you,” Bell told Josh Peck. “And the worst part was that, every day I got there, the monster was there.”
