Donald Trump’s claim on 2012 USAID funding nonsensical: Congress | India News

Nueva Delhi: Folding the statements of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, about the USAID funds 2012 to India as “meaningless”, Congress asked the Government of Modi on Thursday to issue a white paper on the funds of the agency to the country throughout the decades.
AICC spokesman Jairam Ramesh said: “USAID is in the news these days. It was established on November 3, 1961. The statements made by the president of the United States are usually not meaningless. Outside a white paper before he details USAID support to government and non -governmental institutions in India throughout the decades (sic). “
Congress officials have said that the USAID fund in 2012 for increasing electoral participation in India could only have benefited BJP, since the latter was in opposition and then accompanied in 2014. They have argued that the funds could not have benefited to the Congress, since it was in office and did not require participation. At the same time, Congress has also published photographs of Net BJP and the former minister of the Union, Smriti Irani, as “Ambassador of Goodwill” of the agency, and said he worked closely with the US agency.
