Jammu: To prevent terrorists and subversive people from using flying objects, the Doda district administration, J&K, prohibited the use, storage and transport of drones in the district for two months from February 10 , the authorities said on Tuesday.
According to an order issued by the Office of the Additional District Magistrate of Doda, Sudershan Kumar on Monday, the Defense Forces, the Police and other security agencies were exempt from the scope of the prohibition, but it was ordered to inform the sho in question before to use these gadgets.
The government departments used by these devices for activities, such as mapping, surveys, surveillance in construction, agriculture, filming, environmental conservation sectors and disaster mitigation sectors, received instructions to inform the police local and the executive magistrate and seek prior authorization before use.
Those who were already in possession of drone cameras, flying objects or similar devices received instructions to deposit the same at their closest police station within a week after the issuance of the order.
It had become imperative to impose these restrictions in view of the recent misuse of drones and other fleeing objects by anti -informed to cause damage, injuries and risks to human life, in addition to raising a threat to the safety of vital facilities in J& K, said the order.
