Dispute that left 3 dead in Maple Ridge, B.C., had been going on for years, neighbour says

The researchers were in a neighborhood of Maple Ridge, BC, on Friday morning, since residents reached an agreement with a violent incident that charged three lives on Wednesday night.

The integrated homicide research team (IHIT) says that RCMP found two people, a 60 -year -old man and woman, and a dead dog inside a house on 239 Street.

The officers found another body in a neighboring residence.

Ihit said Thursday that researchers believe that the incident was the “result of a dispute between neighbors who were known to each other.”

Bruce Fairweather said the dispute had “been happening for several years”, and was with the female victim hours before the attack and saw the suspect threaten her.

“She told her something to the other side of the street, and he commented on break her neck,” Fairweather said.

Several residents who spoke with CBC News said that the couple and their neighbor had been fighting for problems such as street parking, fires in the backyard and the couple’s dog.

“She always had the dog with a long strap, and the dog would rise to her property, and he didn’t love anyone or anything on her property,” said Cheryl Cloutier.

CBC News does not identify those involved waiting for notification of closest relatives.

Ridge Meadows RCMP said the officers were first called the neighborhood after a dispute report. They talked with “several people” but did not make any arrest.

Hours later, just before 11 PM, the Maple Ridge Fire Department reported a fire in the vehicle and a “break and enter progress” in the same direction.

The neighbors say they saw cars in flames and rushed to help.

“Something heroically, there were several neighbors [who] I went to the main door, “Fairweather said.” The main door had open, so they immediately knew something was happening. “

When the officers arrived, they found two vehicles and the attached garage on fire, and two people dead inside the house.

Mounties said a person “believed he was armed with a gun” in a neighboring house.

They say that the police “established containment”, and with the help of the integrated emergency response equipment of the bass continent, managed to enter that house, where they found another dead person.

According to the BC (IIO) Independent Research Office, the third person died of what appeared to be a self -inflicted injury.

The Iio is investigating police actions in the incident. The Civil Agency is called every time an incident involved by the Police results in death or serious damage in BC.

Residents say that Wednesday night events have been shocked.

“They were a good couple, nice to have neighbors and very attractive,” Fairweather said. “So, seeing them both missing now, it is difficult to understand.”
