Disney’s ABC pulls ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ after FCC chair criticizes the host’s Charlie Kirk comments

Disney’s ABC said “Live Jimmy Kimmel!” He will be “expected indefinitely,” confirmed a spokesman for NBC News, after Monday’s monologue of the night host about conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Kirk, co -founder of Turning Point USA, was giving a presentation at the University of Utah Valley when he was shot dead last week.

During his monologue on Monday, Kimmel raised the possibility that the alleged murderer Tyler Robinson had been a Pro-Trump Republican.

“The Maga gang (it is) trying desperately to characterize this child who murdered Charlie Kirk as more than one of them and doing everything possible to get political points of him,” Kimmel said.

On Wednesday, the president of the Federal Communications Commission, Brendan Carr, threatened to “take action” against Disney and ABC for the comments.

Nextar Media Group, Inc. announced that the company’s ABC affiliates will avoid “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” For the predictable future, starting with the show tonight.
