Bangladesh’s foreign ministry said on Thursday that Dhaka is awaiting a response from New Delhi after requesting an agrimo (application for official recognition) on the appointment of its new high commissioner to India.
“We are waiting for India’s response. I don’t think it is taking longer than usual. Although there is no fixed deadline, it normally takes three to four months,” foreign ministry spokesman Mohammad Rafiqul Alam told reporters. journalists at the ministry’s weekly briefing.
