NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday released the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections with a major focus on women, the poor and the elderly. The ‘Sankalp Patra’ promises free gas cylinders on Holi and Diwali, Rs 21,000 for pregnant women and a Rs 500 increase in pension for people between 60 and 70 years of age.
The party said all existing welfare schemes will continue, but added that if it comes to power, an investigation will be launched into charges of corruption in public welfare schemes.
