The former Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with a high -level parliamentary delegation of nine members, will visit New York tomorrow in a two -day visit for Pakistan’s current perspective on the recent military clash with India and counteract the New Delhi misinformation campaign about the conflict.
Earlier this month, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif decided to send a diplomatic delegation to important world capitals after the recent military escalation with the neighboring country. The president of PPP, Bilawal, trusted to direct the delegation.
The delegation includes Senator Rehman, former Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar, Dr. Musadik Malik, engineer Khurram Dastgir, Faisal Subzwari, Tehmina Janjua, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt and Jalil Abbas Jilani.
According Associated Press of Pakistan (app)The members of the delegation would hold several meetings, even with the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, the president of the UN General Assembly, Philemon Yang, and the ambassadors of permanent and non -permanent members of the UN Security Council.
In addition to these meetings, the delegation will also inform the members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the UN, according to the report.
Bilawal, together with other members of the delegation, would interact with the media representatives after the visit.
The visit continues to a recent military confrontation between India and Pakistan about the accusations of New Delhi against Islamabad, without evidence, about a deadly attack on the occupied pahalgama of Kashmir.
When New Delhi launched air attacks in early May, killing civilians, Pakistan knocked down five Indian aircraft in retaliation. After attacks in the air bases, an American intervention was needed on May 10 so that both parties finally reached a fire.
In a similar development, the Indian government also announced that seven delegations from all parties would visit key partners, including members of the UN Security Council, to present the country’s position on terrorism and the “National Consensus of Projects of India.”
