The defense lawyers are expected to continue questioning the plaintiff today in the sexual aggression trial of five former members of the World Junior Hockey team in Canada.
Em began his testimony last Friday, taking to court one night at a bar and a hotel in London, Ontario, in 2018.
She said Monday that her body was in “autopilot” during the alleged abuse and felt that he had to accompany what the men in the hotel room wanted. She said they sometimes laughed and spit on her.
Em also described his first conversations with the police, telling the jury that he initially only wanted the police to talk to men to prevent something similar from happening to another person. She said that she finally decided to present criminal charges after the detectives explained that they could only talk to men if they agreed a conversation.
He also said that one of the defendants, Michael McLeod, sent him a text message after he learned of an investigation and asked him to “discover how to make this disappear.”
In his early interrogation, one of the defense lawyers suggested that EM could have ignored those messages. He also asked about his poisoning level while he was at the bar and the hotel.
Dillon Dubé, Cal Fote, Alex Formenton, Carter Hart and McLeod declared innocent.
