Police said Sunday that they were investigating the death of the Senior. TV Dawnnews Reporter “from all possible angles”, hours after his body was found in the Sindh Sanghar district.
The senior journalist was found dead in his car, parked in Hyderabad Road in Sanghar, on Saturday night under what the police described “mysterious circumstances.” The body was found in the driving seat, with a gunshot wound in the head.
Sanghar Police Superintendent (SSP) Sanghar Abid Baloch said Dawn.com that the police were investigating the death of Dawnnewstv Reporter Khawar Hussain Bajwa of “all possible angles.”
“The journalist’s autopsy was held at the Civil Hospital of Sanghar, and the police expect the provisional findings of the process,” he said.
“Apparently, there is only one gunshot wound of a 9 mm gun with an exit wound on the left side of the temple,” said Ssp Baloch, adding that only one bullet housing was found.
“We are not drawing any conclusion at this time and we are looking at this case from all possible angles,” the SSP explained.
According to Sanghar Police, Hussain’s body had remained at cold storage facilities at Red Crescent hospital in Latifabad, since it is said that their parents will arrive from the United States early on Monday morning.
“Then the body will be taken to Sanghar, which is the ancestral home of the journalist, for the burial,” said the SSP.
Meanwhile, Sanghar Police obtained a closed circuit television camera recording (CCTV) from a restaurant, outside which the car was in which his body was found.
The SSP declared that a guard in the restaurant told the police that it arrived around 7 pm for their duties, and Hussain reached his vehicle 45 minutes an hour later.
The guard told the police that the journalist had used the restaurant’s bathroom and then sat in the vehicle.
“After a while, when he did not order, the guard, out of curiosity, went to the vehicle and reported back to the restaurant manager, telling him that he noticed something unusual with a man sitting inside,” said the SSP.
“Two waiters arrived to confirm the vigilante’s state [Hussain’s] Temple, with a 9 mm gun in his right hand, ”added Ssp Baloch.
According to the SSP, Hussain’s brother -in -law told the Police that he did not inform them about his arrival on Saturday, although he asked them to have an annual religious ritual according to the family’s tradition. Hussain or told his friends in Sanghar about his visit or attended the ritual.
“His sister confirmed that he had celebrated Eidul Azha with her at her insistence, after her parents moved to the United States she can,” said the SSP.
Last night, Sindh’s prime minister Murad Ali Shah realized the incident and requested a report from the Chief of Police, with instructions for the investigation to be delivered to the best police officer.
