KARACHI: The Sindh government has extended the deadline for replacing old number plates of vehicles with new Ajrak-themed plates by two more months.
According to a notification issued on Friday, the excise and tax department “is pleased to extend the deadline for replacement of existing registration plates with new registration plates with security features till December 31, 2025 instead of October 31, 2025 (in respect of all types of vehicles).”
Earlier in August, the Sindh government had extended the deadline for citizens to get new number plates with Ajrak design until October 31, following instructions from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) president Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
