Dave Coulier expects the finish line to be in sight for his trip with cancer.
The “Fuller House” star told Parade that a recent biopsy in a lymphatic ganglion in his neck showed “without a sign of cancer”, and now he is waiting for the results of an additional cat exploration to see if his illness “will be in the rearview mirror.”
He also said that a PET exploration that underwent half of his treatment showed no cancer cell.
Coulier, 65, shared in an exclusive today in November 2024 who had diagnosed the Non Hodgkin lymphoma in stage 3, a type of blood cancer that begins in the lymphatic system.
He told Parade that he completed his sixth chemotherapy round in February and received awareness of biopsy in his lymphatic ganglion.
“Melissa and I hope for a week to recover the results of the biopsy, and there are no cancer signs,” he told Parade, referring to his wife. “One of the few times in my life when ‘Zero’ has been a great number of listening.”
The actor, who portrayed Uncle Joey in the original “Full House” and the restart of the program, said today that he noticed the symptoms for the first time in October 2024 after putting a cold. He found a lump of the size of a golf ball in his groin a week after feeling ill.
He underwent six rounds of chemotherapy, which told Parade Causa Neuropathy, Nausea, dizziness and “chemotherapy brain”, in which he found himself in a mental fog.
“I was very stunned when I left the hospital, my wife looked at me (when) we got into the car, and she says:” We forget to play the bell, “he said about his sixth chemotherapy treatment.
Coulier also fought with fatigue.
“Although I wanted to move and leave and work around the house, I could simply,” he told Parade.
The actor and the comedian had Franco conversations about mortality with Melissa, 41, his 10 -year -old wife. Coulier’s sister, Sharon, 36, and the niece, Shannon, 29, died of breast cancer and her mother. His sister, Karen, also lives with cancer.
“I think everyone’s mind is going there,” he told Parade. “It is part of the reality of life. As ‘Wow, this is really serious’ and ‘What is the worst thing that could happen?’ I’ve seen it so frequently in my family. “
“After (the fifth round of) chemotherapy, he said: ‘I don’t know if I could do this again,” Melissa told Parade. “He said: ‘I am prepared in any way. If I die, I die. And if I can stay here, great. I want to do it.’ Those conversations were obviously so hard.”
The recent encouraging results have raised the spirit of Coulier.
“I will tell you this. Today is the first day I really feel like, ‘Wow, I feel pretty good. I feel like me.’ And it’s today,” Coulier told Parade.
