The Vice Prime Minister Ishaq Dar promised to strengthen Pakistan’s ties with the countries of North Africa of Egypt and Algeria when he met on Tuesday with his foreign ministers in Saudi Arabia.
Dar arrived at Jeddah on a two -day visit yesterday, where he talked about the Gaza notice of Israel during the 21st extraordinary session of the Organization of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Today, apart from the OIC meeting, Dar met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Badr Abdelatty and FM Ahmed Attaf of Algeria.
By describing its discussion as a “significant interaction,” said: “I reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthen ties with our fraternal countries in North Africa, Algeria and Egypt, through improved connectivity and broader cooperation in various fields.”
The foreign ministers discussed the “serious situation in Palestine,” said Dar in X.
The trio emphasized the “urgent need for humanitarian access, a high fire and lasting peace, while underlines the importance of unity within the Muslim Ummah in these challenging times.”
In yesterday’s OIC session, GIV criticized the “annexationist and dishonest mentality of Israel and condemned Tel Aviv’s plan to take control of the city of Gaza as a threatening regional peace.
He also presented seven “urgent and essential steps” so that the international community and Muslim nations stop Israel’s war against Gaza, already called genocide by Amnesty International and Human Rights Clock, and ensures lasting peace in Palestine.
Pakistan also completely backed down and joined the statement issued by 31 Arab-Islamic countries and the general secretaries of the ICO, the Arab States League and the Gulf Cooperation Council, condemning the comments of the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on ‘Great Israel’.
The Algeria ambassador to the UN Amar Blessed has asked Israel in response to his plan in the city of Gaza.
Pakistan has fraternal ties with Egypt and Algeria, united in shared religion and culture.
In April, Islamabad and Cairo agreed to improve bilateral collaboration in the health sector, with a specific approach in eliminating hepatitis C. It was also reported earlier this year that the renowned Al-Azhar University of Egypt had plans to establish its campus in Pakistan.

The prime minister also met with the FM Hakan Fidan of Turkiye today, expressing his “deep appreciation” to Turkiye for his leadership role in the ability to preside over the OIC ministerial session.
“We affirm the firm solidarity with Palestine, pointing out the worsening of the crisis and the humanitarian famine, and the urgent need for help and humanitarian relief,” said Dar.
The two ministers “reaffirmed the fraternal relations of Pakistan-Türkiye, and hoped to strengthen our multifaceted cooperation.”
