The administration of Bajaur imposed a touch of three days in 16 places in the district on Tuesday and initiated an operation against militants in the areas.

A NOTIFICATION IN THIS REGARD ISSUED BY BAJAUR DEPUTY COMMISSITAR (DC) SHAHID ALI KHAN SAID THOUGE WAS A NEED TO IMPOSE RESTRICTIONS ON ALL KINDS OF MOVEMENT ON THE MAIN ROADS AND OUTSID Kalan, Legharai, Kitkot, Gillai, Nakhtar, Zarai, the Dambarai, Amanata and Zagai of Tehsil Loe Mamund area to avoid adverse incidents as recommended by the Intelligence Coordination Committee of the District of Bajaur to guarantee public safety during specific actions against militants.
The DC imposed a prohibition of all kinds of movement of people outside the houses, on roads, vehicles and all forms of traffic on all roads in the previous villages with effect from 5 am today until 5 pm on July 31 (Thursday) under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
He instructed all the people who comply with the order and restrict all the movement on the roads and external houses, warning that any person found who violated the order would be responsible for the legal actions under Section 188 of the Pakistan Criminal Code.
The president of the National Party of Awami, Aimal Wali Khan, claimed that innocent people were injured in the operation and asked the violence to stop.
Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl also said he could not support the operation.
The decision occurred after the police rejected a terrorist attack at the control post of thegi on Sunday night. The authorities had said Sunrise that the terrorists attacked the Joint Police and the position of FC in the area of Thegi de Salarzai Tehsil on Sunday night around 9:42 pm.
