CUET-UG exams from May 8, registrations on till March 22


New Delhi: el Common University input Test (Cuet-UG) For undergraduate admissions it will take place from May 8 to June 1, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Saturday. Applications for the exam were opened on March 1 and will remain available until March 22.
According to NTA officials, the exam dates are tentative, with a detailed schedule that will be published later. The exams would be held from May 8 to June 12, 2025. Cuet-UG will be held in 13 Indian languages: English, Hindi, Asamés, Bengalí, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Hate, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Uruu.
Introduced in 2022, Cuet-UG replaced multiple entrance exams to standardize the admission process in central, state and selected private universities in India. The exam evaluates candidates on language domain, specific subjects of domain and general aptitude, aligning with national educational policy (NEP) 2020 to promote inclusion and equal opportunities.
In 2024, approximately 13.47 Lakh (1,347 million) of registered candidates, a slight decrease of 14.99 Lakh (1,499 million) in 2023. The exam was carried out from May 15 to 29 in a hybrid format, allowing online and offline modes. Of the total examined, 7.17 Lakh were men, 6.30 Lakh were women and seven identified as transgender, reflecting the diversity of the participants.
