JAMMU: National Research Agency (NIA) launched on Wednesday searches in properties related to hybrid terroristssoil workers (OGWS) and terrorist supporters, supposedly involved in facilitating cross -border infiltration of terrorists: in 12 locations in J & K’s Jammu divisionincluding the areas of Bhatindi, Janipur, Malik Market and Safa Valley.
NIA had registered on October 24, 2024 a case in this sense in the instructions of the Ministry of Interior, after information about active terrorists of proscribed outfits: lashkar-e-taiba and Jaish-e-mohammad -In India through the international border and the Indo-Pak (LOC) control line.
“The infiltrations were supposedly facilitated by OGWS and other terrorist associates based inside the Jammu region, which were dedicated to providing logistical support, food, refuge and even money for terrorists,” said an official.
On November 21, 2024, NIA had made similar raids in multiple locations in five districts of J&K (Readi, Udhampur, Doda, Ramban and Kishtwar) in relation to a case related to cross -border infiltration and terrorist attacks against security forces and civilians. Extensive searches threw various incriminating materials that show links between terrorists of prohibited outfits, OGWS and hybrid terrorists. The raids revealed that these hybrid and OGW terrorists were linked to freshly formed branches and affiliates of proscribed terrorist outfits.
In early April 2024, as part of a massive repression against terrorist organizations backed by Pakistan and their ramifications, NIA had raided the premises of OGWS and hybrid terrorists, linked to Let, Jem, Hizbul Mujahideen, al-badr, al-Qaid Kashmir, Mujahideen, Mujahidenenen Gazween, Gazween Geaz-Houl-Houl-Houl-Houl-Houl-Houl- The Freedom Combatters of Jammu and Kashmir volumes of data and incriminatory documents. In June 2024, the agency registered a case in this regard.
