Kolkata: Mass murder or death for suicide Covenant: Kolkata police are examining what happens and whodunits involving a prominent business family in the city’s leather trade, reports Dwaipayan Ghosh.
The case involves a car accident early on Wednesday that left two brothers Prasun Dey (45), Pranay Dey (44) and the son of Pranay Pratip (14) critically injured, while Prasun Romi’s wife, the priyamvada daughter and The sister -in -sister -in -law were found dead at home in the neighborhood of Cangra.
The autopsy revealed that Romi had wounds on both wrists and a throat cut, while Sudeshna suffered similar injuries, indicating murder. Priyamvada, 14, died of poisoning and had multiple injuries, suggesting that he suffered before death. However, the two women had no venom traces.
The police have registered a case of murder based on a complaint from Romi’s father against unknown people. However, the police have not ruled out a possible suicide pact that involves Southshna and Romi.
Pranay and Prasun said their wives were part of a collective death plan. The nature of the cuts suggested that women were unconscious or sleeping when they were attacked. The brothers said the family had sleeping pills mixed with ‘Payesh’ (Kheer).
Financial problems seem to be in the heart of the tragedy.
