Cop explains why he’s late: ‘Wife a vampire, keeps me awake’ | India News

Meerut: An unusual response to a disciplinary notice of a provincial armed police officer (PAC) in the UP Meerut has gone viral on social networks. In his response, the agent blamed his wife for his negligence in duty, saying that “it gives me nightmares, which keeps me awake at night and causes delays.”
On February 17 he was issued by the battalion in charge of Dalnayak Madhusudan Sharma to the agent, accusing him of being late for a morning informative session the previous day, being successful incorrect and often missing unity activities. The agent said he suffered from insomnia due to marriage disputes. He affirmed in his dreams: “My wife sits in my chest and tries to drink my blood with the intention of killing me.” As a result, he said, he can’t sleep at night, which takes him late to the informative session.
He said that he is low medications for depression and irritability, and that his mother suffers from a nervous disorder, aggravating his anguish. The agent said he had lost the will to live and “wishes to surrender” at the feet of God. He asked his superiors to end his suffering by guiding him towards spiritual salvation. An investigation into the identity of the agent has been ordered, the authenticity of his response and how the letter made its way to social media platforms.
