Supposedly, a young teacher was killed by her fiance, a police officer in service, in Qambar-Shahdokot after she refused to marry him, a senior official said on Monday.
According to the Senior Police Superintendent (SSP) Qambar-Shahdokot Sajid Sadazai, Sadaf Hasloo was allegedly attacked by the Fareed Hasloo policeman.
“The deceased and the assailant belonged to the same tribe,” he said Dawn.com.
The SSP added that Sadaf had been committed to the suspect for a long time, but recently he had relied to him.
“He was a resident of the district of Larkana and used to teach in the village of the city of Qambar as a primary school teacher,” said SSP Sadozai, adding that the victim was traveling home in a truck when she was attacked by the assailant, who fled after the attack.
“He received four gunshot wounds at the top of his body and died instantly,” added Sso Sadozai.
In addition, he added, a pedestrian that turned out to be the local leader of a political party, Mahboob Rahujo, also received gunshot wounds due to indiscriminate shots by the assailant.
The SSP said that there was now a first information report (FIR), since the family had completed the funeral procedures, adding that the suspect had turned off his cell phone, but the police carried out investigations on their whereabouts to arrest it.
