An agent of the Ottawa police service (PAHO) declared himself guilty of three positions under the Police Services Law for picking up a woman while she is more than 15 years ago, going home in her service car and having sex with her, according to CBC.
Richard Lemay is expected to learn his punishment on September 8 after declaring himself guilty of a police disciplinary hearing earlier this summer.
The incident occurred at some point between October 2008 and April 2009.
PAHO confirmed the charges and the declaration of guilt of Lemay, but said in a statement that “it cannot comment more” until the audience, even why disciplinary audiences are heard more than fifteen years after the incident.
The charges that declared themselves guilty of including discreditable conduct for “picking up a plaintiff in a marked police vehicle to drive his home”, and while he is in service and with a complete uniform, entering his residence and participating in sexual activities.
He declared himself guilty of negligence of duty after not being able to work according to the orders, or [leaving] An area, detail, detail or other place of service “without permission or reason for” personal reasons “.
The third load was for insubordination, for not ensuring properly and maintaining control of its firearm.
Lemay had been suspended for an unclear amount of time, but that ended in January.
