Comedian Matt Rife said that he and Youtuber Elton Castee are now the legal guardians of Annabelle, the doll that the famous Paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren said that he had an evil spirit.
“We are the legal guardians and caregivers of the 750 artifacts and haunted items at the Warren Museum, including the Annabelle doll. I must register and say that we do not legally possess articles, but we are the legal guardians and the caregivers of the articles for at least the next five years,” Rife said in an Instagram video on Saturday.
Rife, 29, announced on an Instagram post on Friday that he and Castee, 35, had bought the house and the Warrens museum in Monroe, Connecticut, which includes his entire haunted collection of wrists and artifacts.
Tony Spera, the son -in -law of the Warrens and co -director of the organization of the deceased couple, the New England’s psychic research society, clarified to Today.com that he and his wife still have the Warrens collection, including the Annabelle doll, and only leases Rife and Castee.
“We have no plans to ‘sell’ the artifacts,” he said in a statement.
The paranormal investigations of Ed and Lorraine Warren became the horror films “The Conjuring”, “Annabelle” and “The Nun”. Actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga play Ed and Lorraine in the franchise.
“The Conjuring: Last Rites” is the last film in the series and will premiere in September.
“If you know me, you know that I am obsessed with the paranormal and all haunted things,” Rife subtitled a photo of himself and Castee posing with the wrist. “You can also know that conjuration films are my favorite fear movies of all time. So I feel incredibly honored to have assumed one of the most prominent properties in the paranormal history. Ed and Lorain Warren possibly put demonology and paranormal in the mainstream and are the heart of some of the most famous facts of all time, the house of conjuration, imityville Horror, et … “” “” “” “” “,” “” “” “” “”, “” “” “. ”
Rife said they plan to open the house for “stays during the night and tours of the museum.”
His announcement occurred less than a month after the Paranormal researcher and Annabelle Dan Rivera died died in the “Devils on the Run Tour”, which presents the Annabelle doll. Rivera, 54, was found dead in a Gettysburg hotel room, Pennsylvania on July 13.
According to e! News, a police report on July 16 described his death as “natural”, but a final cause of death will not be determined until an autopsy is completed.
In the three independent films about Annabelle, the doll is given as a gift to a nursing student who noticed strange events with the wrist. The nurse and her roommate call the Warrens, who pronounce the doll “demonicly possessed”, retain her from the home and type it “in a glass box to contain the entity of evil spirit”, according to the New England psychic research society. Ed Warren died in 2006 at age 79, and Lorraine Warren died in 2019 at 92.
The New England Psychic Research Society did not immediately respond to a request for comments on Monday.
