Clash outside Adiala after Imran’s sisters denied meeting – Pakistan

Rawalpindi: A handful of supporters of PTI faced with the police outside the Adiala prison on Tuesday, after the prison administration did not allow the sisters of PTI Imran Khan’s founder to meet him, which led the police for the crowd to take care of the crowd.

Police also arrested Mr. Khan Aleema and Uzma Khan sisters, as well as others, apparently to avoid a situation of law and order and relocated them to a nearby marriage hall before sending them back to Lahore under police protection through the highway.

Before this, a kind of hiding place between the supporters of PTI and the Police continued for some time, while the protesters threw police officers with stones and the latter responded with a cane load.

The police took some workers, as well as the sisters of the founder of PTI, from near the control point of Gorakhpur.

The sisters and cousins of Imran Khan were taken to a private tent, where women sat on the ground in protest.

A group of PTI supporters also gathered outside the marriage hall and shouted slogans in favor of its leader and demanded their release from jail. However, the situation was deactivated and were sent to their homes through the highway.

The leader of the PTI, the lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, has condemned the arrest of Mr. Khan’s family members, calling him illegal and unconstitutional.

Speaking to the media outside the prison, lawyer Gohar said that the meeting was the right of Mr. Khan’s sisters in the light of the order of the Superior Court.

Despite the directive, the decision to deny them was incomprehensible, he said.

According to lawyer Gohar, Mr. Khan’s sisters have not been allowed to meet their brother twice, due to which they had announced a sitting on Tuesday.

He said that just when Bushra Bibi’s family was allowed to meet her, PTI’s founder’s family should also have allowed a meeting.

In response to a question, the lawyer Gohar said that PTI workers did not throw stones at the police, nor the PTI called a sitting. They had only expressed solidarity with the sisters of the founder of PTI.

Later, at a press conference at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa house, lawyer Gohar said that Mr. Khan’s family had not been allowed to meet him since March 20.

Speaking about the events that occurred outside the prison, the PTI leader said that Mrs. Aleema told the Police that she would not leave the facilities unless a meeting with her brother has organized.

After six hours, the police arrested Mr. Khan’s sisters along with Sahibzada Hamid Raza.

PTI’s secretary general, Salman Akram Raja, said they wanted to organize a meeting of the office officers of the Lahore Bar Associations with Mr. Khan, but the prison administration changed the names of the visitors.

He said that a list of six people was shared with the administration for the meeting, but the names, completed by the administration of the prison, did not exist in the list.

On the other hand, Punjab Minister of Information, Azma Bokhari, said the police had not arrested the sisters of the former prime minister or any other woman.

‘Use of force’

In a statement, PTI’s Secretary of Central Information, Sheikh Waqqas Akram, condemned both the use of force against protesters and the arrest of Mr. Khan’s sisters and the leader of PTI Aliya Hamza and party workers, lawyers and journalists outside the prison.

He criticized the prison authorities for challenging the orders of IHC and urged the courts to guarantee the implementation of their orders.
