Washington – The president of the Supreme Court John Roberts issued a rare statement on Tuesday that rebuked President Donald Trump and his allies for calling accused judges who have failed against the administration.
“For more than two centuries, it has been established that the accusation is not an appropriate response to the disagreement of a judicial decision. The normal appeal review process exists for that purpose,” Roberts said in a statement.
Trump’s allies have asked several judges to be accused of blocking administration policies in the first months of their second term.
But Trump himself increased bets on Tuesday, when he requested the dismissal of the United States District Judge, James Boasberg, after blocking the deportation of Venezuelan migrants.
“This judge, like many of the crooked judges, is forced to appear before, must be accused!” Trump wrote.
