Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman arrested on alleged weapons violations


The Los Angeles chargers supporter, Denzel Perryman, was arrested in relation to multiple arms violations, police said Saturday.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s department said in a statement that Perryman, 32, was arrested on Friday by the agents of the Southern Los Angeles station.

“The agents made a traffic stop of Mr. Perryman for vehicle code violations,” the statement said. “During his investigation, Mr. Perryman was arrested for multiple arms violations.”

“Mr. Perryman was extremely cooperative with the deputies throughout the investigation,” the department added.

Perryman’s agent Ron Butler, and a NFL representative did not immediately respond to comments requests.

The NFL player is stopped without bail and will appear in the Court on August 5, according to prison records on the Lasd website.

Perryman was recruited by the Chargers in 2015 when the hometown of the team was San Diego, and played in the team for about five years.

He returned to the Chargers in 2024 after short periods with the Raiders of Las Vegas, Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans.
