Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry addresses a press conference in Rawalpindi.
At the beginning of the press conference, DG ISPR congratulated the nation on the establishment of the Headquarters of the Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), stating that it was one of the most important steps in providing necessary synergy and unity for military operations in the country.
“This was discussed a lot in the media, and we understand that the character of war has changed; multi-domain operations are now being carried out. It is no longer just land, sea and air; it is in space, it is in cyberspace, it is the information domain, it is intelligence-based, and war is fought in multiple domains,” he told reporters.
“Wars have become violent, short and intense, so to achieve efficiency, effectiveness and economy of effort, CDF headquarters was a long-awaited essential requirement, and not just in Pakistan, there are more than a dozen countries, almost more than 70 countries, where synergistic headquarters of the defense chief are available,” he said.
The head of the army’s media wing added that the CDF headquarters had been established following directives and orders from parliament; therefore, it was a “great and monumental day for Pakistan’s national security.”
The DG ISPR then spoke of a growing national security threat facing the country.
