Nueva Delhi: as the next step in its mission against the “fictitious schools”, CBSE is contemplating amendments to its exam statutes to prevent students from enrolling in such schools or those missing classes that appear for the exams of the class XII Board. Officials clarified that the responsibility of registering in such schools meets students and their parents.
As part of its ongoing repression, the Board is considering not allowing students who lack regular assistance to take exams from the Board, which requires them to appear for National Open School Institute (Children) exam. “In the event that students are missing at school during surprise inspections, they can be prohibited from appearing for the Board exams,” said a senior CBSE official.
Schools that promote or sponsor students who will not attend can face disciplinary measures under the statutes of affiliation and examination of the Board.
The matter was recently discussed during a meeting of the CBSE Governing Board, where it was recommended that the proposed regulations be implemented from the academic session 2025-2026.
The Board is also considering disciplinary actions against schools that refer to students not eligible for exams.
