Nueva Delhi: The Supreme Court rejected on Wednesday the urgent mention of a statement of guidance to the Delhi Police to register a FIR on the alleged discovery of ardent cash of the official residence judge of Delhi Yashwat Varma.

Another petitioner in the case said that if that case was against a common citizen, then several investigation agencies such as the CBI and the ED would have pursued them.
“This is enough. The plea will arise accordingly,” said the CJI.

They said that Judge Varma should be asked to resign and that if he declined, the CJI should initiate internal investigation, such as the first step towards his removal by the Parliament.
