Nueva Delhi: the leader of the Bharatiya Janata party, Amit Malviya, shared an image of Karnataka Prime Minister, Siddaramaiah on Wednesday gold smuggling case. This occurs after the deputy CM DK Shivakumar dismissed the reports of any political bond with the case.
“He Ranya Rao Rao Gold Smuggling Case In Karnataka he has now reached the door of Prime Minister Siddaramaiah. This outdated photo also presents the current Interior Minister G Parmehwara, “he said.
Taking Dks a blow, Malviya said: “Ironically, the man who discards any political bond is none other than the CM awaited from Congress, DK Shivakumar.”
State ministers have repeatedly denied having had some link with the case.
“There is no minister involved, we don’t know anything. Everything is political gossip. The investigation officers will proceed according to the law. We have nothing to do with that, “Shivakumar told journalists on Monday.
The MLA Rizwan Arshad Congress reiterated this statement and said: “It is being investigated by CBI, which is not under the control of the state government, but of the central government. They have all the freedom to investigate, and if there is something and someone involved, let it leave. But we are not very clear: no one from the state government is involved in any type of criminal activity.”
Rao was arrested on March 3 by the Directorate of Income Intelligence (DRI) at the Kempegowda International Airport (Kiad) in Bangalore for allegedly smuggling 14.8 kilograms of gold in Dubai.
DGP’s stepdaughter K Ramachandra Rao was produced before a Special Court of Financial Crimes on March 4, where he was initially sent to judicial custody until March 18.
During the interrogation, he said that his trip to Dubai was for commercial purposes, although the authorities suspect that he was linked to illegal gold smuggling.
Initially it was placed in Custody of DRI until March 10, which then extended until March 24 as the investigations continued.
