Next week, the Montreal Tennis Star, Felix Auger-Aliassime, will compete in its eighth consecutive main draw in the open tennis championship of US 2025.
But despite a long list of praise, including an Olympic bronze medal and seven singles titles on the ATP tour, it is its community reach in the country of origin of its father of Togo in which the tennis star wants attention to focus.
At the end of the 1990s, Félix’s father, 25, Sam Aliassime, emigrated from the Nation of Western Africa when he was the same age as his son at this time.

These values were poured into the time of Sinias at an early age, influencing their impulse to compete at the highest level of tennis.
“He gave me all the right tools, to achieve that: hard work discipline, curiosity, work ethics,” he said.
After the broken year of Auger-Aliassime in 2019, he and his father sat down to plan how to give back to the community through their success, wondering: “Is there any way to link my tennis career with something that is out of tennis but also resonates with me?”
Serving Togo’s youth quickly came to mind.
In 2020, his money coincidence program called #FapintsForchege was born, where Auger-Aliassime Dona $ 5 for each point he wins in a party to support education and child protection in Togo.
“I can’t do mathematics quickly now, but there are many points.”
“We have helped hundreds of children get a better education,” he said. “Now we are going to help young adults to get a scholarship for the university … we really want to help them give them an opportunity for higher education.”

Felix Auger-Aliassime collected his second victory of the season and the seventh race title by winning the open occitit.
Every two years, Auger-Aliassime makes a trip to Togo to spend time with young people, who has also expanded his perception of his father’s childhood, he says.
“He tells me stories when I was a child, but never coincides with what you can see with your own eyes. My level of respect for his desire to succeed in life, and work hard, and be consistent with that. Going there gave me even more respect for what he has done in his life.”
Olympic ‘unexpected’ advance
Last summer, Auger-Aliassime won his first Olympic medal, ensuring bronze at the Paris Olympic Games in mixed doubles along with the three-time champion Grand Slam Gabby Dabrowski.
“It was unexpected,” he said. “It was an incredible week … the support I was receiving from the crowd, from the people of the house, for my second Olympic Games, it was extremely special.”
A few months later, in November 2024, the tennis player announced his commitment to his girlfriend for a long time, Nina Ghaibi.
And now? They are the “little victories of each day” that keeps it underway.
“Deep down, I’m a competitor,” he said. “I love the challenge, when you exceed a challenge.
“Stress before a game when you face an opponent … When you can think of and when you earn, it’s the best feeling.”
AUGER-ALASSIME will seek that feeling when the Open of US is launched, since the Marquesina event extends from August 18 to September 8.
“Win a special tournament and the emotion you get,” he said.
“That is a deep happiness.”
