Canadians can expect full service for domestic packages and on-time service guarantees following the postal strike, although Canada Post said some mail will continue to be delayed as it deals with a large number of items.
“We have returned to normal processing and delivery levels across the country, including rural and remote areas,” the Crown corporation wrote in a news release on Tuesday.
Canada Post said on-time service guarantees apply again for domestic packages starting Monday.
Canada Post thanked Canadians for their patience as it worked to safely restore normal operations, but said it is still working with “increased volumes of mail.”
The Crown corporation said Canadians should expect delays of several days beyond its service standard for “postal transactions” such as letters, invoices and account statements.
Businesses should also expect delivery delays of several days as they process a “significant amount” of local mail, he added.
Additionally, international shipments will be delayed several days.
