Canada Post informs a loss of $ 1.3 billion in operational expenses in its annual report of 2024.

Crown Corporation compensated some of these losses selling certain companies, including their Logistics business that sold in January last year.

Excluding taxes, and accounting for their divestments, Canada’s losses postalized $ 841 million last year. That is larger than the loss of $ 748 million reported in 2023, and in 2022 when it lost $ 548 million.

The last time Canada Post obtained profits was in 2017. In general, Crown Corporation says it has lost $ 3.8 billion since 2018. The news occurs as a possible strike of postal workers.
