In Canada, two brands of sea and Himalayan salt are being recalled because pieces of plastic were found in the products.
“Do not use, sell, serve or distribute affected products,” the Canadian Food Inspection Agency posted on its website Thursday.
The nationwide recall issued by Loblaw Companies Limited affects the following products:
– President’s Choice Mediterranean Sea Salts (360 g), with Universal Product Code: 0 60383 97655 2
– President’s Choice Himalayan Pink Rock Salts (390g), with universal product code: 0 60383 18288 5.
Both recalled products have expiration dates of January 17, 2026.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency did not include further details, such as whether anyone became sick or injured as a result of the recall, nor did it give a description of the plastic pieces found.
