Camryn Rogers continued his undefeated week and his winning season on Saturday.
The Canadian hammer pitcher captured the women’s event in Finland, defeating his Finnish -team fellow Krista Tervo and Silja Kosonen in the 86th Kuortane games.
Rogers, the current world and Olympic champion, launched 76.45 meters in Kuortane Central Sports Field for the edge of Tervo (76.98) for his fourth victory in five competitions this season outdoors. Kosonen was third (72.90).
Rogers fell 12 centimeters to match his record of the stadium established two years ago in a victory over Kosonen in the World Cup Continental Tour Bronze Track and Field Meet.
Rogers, 26, committed a foul in his first six attempts on Sunday, but recovered with his best launch in his next attempt. Nor did he register a distance in his fifth attempt.
On Tuesday, the Richmond athlete, BC prevailed despite three fouls with a upper 74.59m launch in the 68 PAAVO NURMI games in Turku, about 315 kilometers south of Kuortane, where it beat Kosonen (second) and Tervo (ninth).
Rogers will return to Canada to prepare for the event of the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League on July 5 in Eugene, Ore.
She has a better 78.14 launch this season and 78.62 the best personal.
Rogers won an Olympic gold medal on August 6 on August 6 in Paris after ensuring his first world championship title in 2023 after Silver the previous year.

Richmond’s native, BC, scored 75.59 meters in his fifth launch to ensure the female hammer competition in the Athletics Continental Tour World Cup in Turku, Finland.
