The Balochjehti (Byc) committee held a great meeting in the Dalbandin area of Baluchistan on Saturday, in the midst of the suspension of mobile networks in the area.
The authorities have said that section 144 is in place in the region and that the organizers fear a possible repression in the event.
Talk with SunriseBaluchistan government spokesman Shahid Rind said that while it was the constitutional right of each citizen in Pakistan to meet, the Byc is celebrating his event despite the fact that section 144 is imposed on Baluchistan. In this case, it depends on the local administration to allow permission for the rally.
“Taking into account the security situation of the province and to prevent adverse incidents, the Internet has closed in Dalbandin,” said Rind.
Beeburg Baloch, one of Byc’s organizers, said Dawn.com Today that mobile services in Dalbandin, Chagai and Noshki have been suspended for three days.
“Today, the mobile service is completely suspended in Dalbandin, while there is no contact with the convoys from Noshki,” said the organizer. “We believe that mobile service has also been completely suspended in Noshki.”
The leader of Byc, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, went to the crowd next to Dr. Sabiha Baloch, Shahji Sibghatullah, Sammi Deen Baloch and other Byc figures.
“We will not allow anyone to loot Baluchistan’s mineral resources,” he said. “Mega projects will not be carried out without the will and intentions of the people of Baloch.”
During his speech, he asked human rights organizations to realize “atrocities” committed in the province.
“Injustices have joined Baloch today,” he said.
