NEW DELHI: In a miraculous incident, a circuit breaker became the lifeline of a “dead” 65-year-old man, a resident of Kasaba-Bawada in Kolhapur district of western Maharashtra. The incident took place on December 16, when an ambulance was transporting the body of Pandurang Ulpefrom the hospital to his home where his family and friends gathered to mourn.
He was rushed to a private hospital on December 16 after suffering a heart attack. There doctors declared him dead.
Surprisingly, when the ambulance crossed the speed break, his wife observed some movement in his fingers.
“When we were bringing his ‘body’ home from the hospital, the ambulance went over a speed break and we noticed there was movement in his fingers,” his wife said, according to a report by news agency PTI.
He was soon taken to another hospital, where he underwent angioplasty, and on Monday, a fortnight after the incident, he walked home.
Ulpe, a warkari (devotee of Lord Vitthal) said, “I had returned home after a walk and was sitting after having tea. I felt dizzy and breathless. I went to the bathroom and vomited. I don’t remember what happened next. including who took me to the hospital.”
