NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended his greetings on the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
In a social media post on X, PM Modi said that the Ram temple, built after centuries of penance and struggle, is a great heritage of the country’s culture and spirituality.
“My best wishes to all countrymen on the first anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. This temple, built after centuries of sacrifice, penance and struggle, is a great heritage of our culture and spirituality,” the Prime Minister said Modi.
“I am sure that this divine and magnificent Ram temple will become a great inspiration in achieving the resolve of a developed India,” he added.
Meanwhile, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Foundation and the district administration are making elaborate arrangements for the first anniversary celebrations, which mark one year since Ram Lalla was permanently seated inside the Ram temple. The celebrations will continue until January 13.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the celebrations and perform the ‘abhishek’ (religious ritual).
The specially designed ‘pitambari’ suit for Ram Lalla, with intricate gold and silver threading, will be prepared by a team of designers from Delhi. Trust officials confirmed that the special suit would arrive at the temple on Friday.
The main ceremony will begin on Saturday, where Ram Lalla will be anointed with ‘Panchamrit’ and holy water of the Saryu, a procedure followed during the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony last year.
