Nueva Delhi: The Border Security Force (BSF) confiscated 294 drones in Punjab in 2024, Junior Juice Minister Nityanand Rai, Lok Sabha informed Tuesday.
RAI, in response to a question, also said that anti-Drone systems were deployed along the Punjab border to counteract the threat.
According to the minister, a series of measures have been taken to verify the smuggling of narcotics along the Indo-Pakistan border through drones; These include placing anti-drone systems; and share information received on drones immediately with the headquarters of BSF, the Indian Air Force and the Local Police Station.
He said that adjoining adjoining border stalls, ‘Nakas’ and observation stalls were alerted to identify the path taken by non -manned aerial vehicles (UAV) and drones and be ready to interact with them.
