A fire broke out inside a Christmas market kiosk in Midtown Manhattan on Friday morning, authorities said.
There were no injuries.
The fire started shortly before 9:30 a.m. in a shed in Bryant Park’s Winter Village and was extinguished a short time later, the FDNY said.
The kiosk and an adjacent booth were damaged and the ice skating rink’s roof suffered “heat impact,” according to NYFD Battalion Chief Joseph Castellano.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, the fire department said.
The department released photos of the aftermath of the fire, showing the damaged kiosk and piles of burned debris.
NBC New York reported that stores at Bryant Park will close for the season on Jan. 5, but the ice skating rink and winter wonderland will be open through March.
