Briane Harris: Curler not at fault for anti-doping, lawyer says

Canadian curler Briane Harris is eligible to return to the sport after a nearly year-long absence.

His lawyer says he received the decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport this morning.

Harris tested positive last January for traces of the banned substance Ligandrol.

He received the results of an out-of-competition doping control test in mid-February and was given a provisional suspension.

An arbitrator at the Switzerland-based court ruled that Harris established that she has no fault or negligence for the violation and that “no period of ineligibility” is imposed on her.

Harris is the leader of the Kerri Einarson team.

More to come.
